A lot of celebrities are donating large amount of money to their charity of choice. Wowowee host, Willie Revillame donated P1M cash to Sagip Kapamilya last September 29, 2009.
Willie mentioned on his show that the money he’ll donate comes from his own pocket. He also urged other people especially celebrities and politicians to donate. Willie advised everyone to stop criticizing the government about how they responded to the calamity and start to lend helping hands to Filipinos in need.
The host encourages everyone to donate relief goods such as food, water and bed sheets. Sagip Kapamilya still accepts donation may it be cash or in kind. As of today, ABS-CBN alone garnered P51.5M in cash donations and P84.5M worth of food and other goods.
Further financial assistance can be sent with any amount of donation to Sagip Kapamilya through Banco De Oro at Account Number: 5630020111 with routine number DNORPHMM for faster transfer.
Willie Revillame is just a very blessed man that this morning, he happens to host a groundbreaking ceremony of one of his lifelong dream, the Wil Theater Mall. This studio-mall complex is worth P600 Million or even more and will be rising at the Eugenio Lopez Drive, across the audience entrance of ABS-CBN Network.
ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio, Television Head Cory Vidanes, Star Magic head Johnny Manahan and Wowowee director Edgar Mortiz participated in the groundbreaking ceremony along with his co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Pokwang and RR Enriquez.
Wowowee host envisions his 10-storey building to have a spa, a gym, shops, theater and a studio that will be built on this 2,920 sq. meter property. Willie shares that his show Wowowee would transfer to the theater mall when it’s done and Star Cinema’s Premiere Showings can be held there, too. It’ll have its own waiting area, comfortably designed for studio attenders and TFC subscribers. He also wants it to have a bridgeway that would lead directly to ABS-CBN studios.
It’s an all-in-one kind of building. One thing that Willie recreates from what he read about and watched from successful people like Oprah Winfrey’s having her own studio, Henry Sy’s SM Super Malls, ABS-CBN’s Eugenio Lopez and even John Gokongwei.
Willie’s not a just comedian nor Wowowee’s noontime show host but definitely a visionary, who is able to overcome obstacles and keep his focus of making what he sets his mind on to become a reality. He actually thank God for all this things and the support of the Filipino people. Willie himself is an inspiration for all of us.
