Ded Na Si Lolo: Philippines’ Official Oscars 2010 Entry

The country’s entry to Oscars 2009, ‘Ploning’ gained lots of achievements in different international film festivals across Asia and Europe. Unfortunately other films bested ‘Ploning’ over at the 2009 Oscars.

This year to compete in the ‘Best Film in Foreign Language’ category is APT Entertainment’s ‘Ded na si Lolo’ which casts Elizabeth Oropesa, Gina Alajar, Roderick Paulate, Manilyn Reynes, Dick Israel and BJ Forbes as the lead stars. The story revolved around a child whose grandfather died and their family’s beliefscaused conflicts on how they’ll mourn.

The 82nd Academy Awards will will be presented on March 7, 2010 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. The Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) chose ‘Ded na si Lolo’ over other award-winning Filipino movies including Baler. Let’s cross our fingers and be hopeful that they’re pretty right with their decision. It’s still a good film after all. 😉

Cristine Reyes: FHM Philippines September 2009 Cover Girl

Cristine Reyes’ getting her comeback cover this September for FHM Philippines as Queen of the Road. They actually had her photo shoot along South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

Cristine was hailed as the country’s sexiest woman of 2009 on FHM’s annual polls and she’s having the prime of her career. She just renewed her contract with ABS-CBN and has a month-long running show with Your Song Presents: Babalik Kang Muli. She also got the role that’s supposedly be played by Heart Evangelista in the movie Patient X partnering up with asian heart throb Richard Guttierez that will be shown the last quarter of October.

Her last pose for FHM’s cover was last August 2007. Though, she’s quite more comfortable and definitely more daring with her poses in this one. 😉

It was four years ago when she won as the ultimate female survivor and by far it’s worth the wait on setting her up on her first men’s magazine photo shoots. Jackie’s a Kapuso star currently involved with GMA-7’s teleserye ‘Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Lahat Sa Akin.’

There’ll be more girls on the list this month, too featuring Kaylani Lei, the half-Filipina sexpot who’s made it big in international porno, Fil-Chinese looker Melissa Chua, Katrina Hermosilla and the Russian pole dancers of Club Divino.
