Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced his return last March 18, 2009 from his retirement from boxing and much high-lighted after watching Manny Pacquiao reigned supreme over Ricky Hatton and snatched away two belts, the IBO and Ring Magazine Light Welterweight, May 2, 2009 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The last title fight of Pretty Boy Floyd is also with its reign over the Hitman last December 8, 2007 on the same place, MGM Grand, Las Vegas Nevada, though it took him 10 rounds to secure the welterweight belt.
May 2, 2009 is the day the world stood still, at least for the Hatton fans as they witnessed its fall in a 2nd round TKO in a fight with the invincible Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather Sr., Hatton’s personal trainer was very disappointed that he even said that Ricky “Hitman” Hatton should settle to retire.
Right now, the next fight to see is Floyd Mayweather Jr. VS Manuel Marquez this July 18, 2009. Manuel Marquez got two fights with Manny Pacquiao before with the first one a draw and a KO on the second. He wants to fight the Pacman on the third time but denied the chance of the comeback. Now both Floyd Jr. and Marquez have their reasons to prove who’s a better contender to fight on Pacquiao.
The question is, will we ever witness the Fight of the Century between Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. VS Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao as to crown who’s really the No.1 Pound-For-Pound Boxer of The World or we’ll just watch the greatest upset as Manuel Marquez push Floyd Jr. back to retirement and get an elusive comeback fight instead? We’ll find out soon. 😉
Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao VS Ricky “Hitman” Hatton will finally get listed to one of the finest and historic boxing match of the world that will be staged at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on May 2, 2009 (May 3, 2009 – 10am Manila time).
This is “The Battle of the East and West” where the World War is about to ignite as these boxing champs collide. This fight is by far the most anticipated and Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao, the world’s boxing icons’ best fight to date.

Manny Pacquiao announced that his back with ABS-CBN as media partner just recently on TV Patrol. He further explained that it was his personal decision to transfer and that his upcoming match with Ricky Hatton this May 2nd will be aired through ABS-CBN Network.
However, Solar Sports expressed back with an interview in GMA 7’s 24 Oras that the contract they have with Manny Pacquiao as ‘current’ media partner is still valid and binding. Manny did send them a letter stating his transfer but Solar Sports would fight back in the court room for their rights. They say Manny Pacquiao and ABS-CBN can’t just ignore what they have in the contract.
