Despite the destruction brought by ‘Ondoy’ last weekend APT Entertainment’s Yaya and Angelina: The Spoiled Brat Movie still grossed P34M on its opening week.
According to reports, the comedy earned higher than Spring Film’s Kimmy Dora which had had a P30M opening week. Bubble Gang tandem Michael V. and Ogie Alcasid together with APT Entertainment executives are now celebrating because of the success of their movie.
The movie continuously earns more income today since its opening week. Some says that if ‘Ondoy’ did not come, the movie would have grossed even more than P34M.
Vic Sotto is teaming up with the Thai-British video jockey Paula Taylor in his upcoming romantic-comedy movie LOL (Love On Line) under the M-Zet Productions that is set to be shown this month of August. Bossing’s doing a new flavor here in this flick getting off enchanted kingdoms, superhero or adventure type stories and getting the story some kind of online, instead.
Richie D’ Horsie should have been Vic’s sidekick on this movie if he didn’t had a stroke lately. But Wally Bayola will get to ride with Bossing this time around. Jose Manalo, on the other hand as his ‘usual sidekick’ is set to take care of the role on the MMFF bid in December.
Vic’s having his new game show as the host in TV5’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Paula in turn, just did a cover for MEGA premium fashion magazine last March issue. They look good together and it’ll be interesting how this two will end up together… in the movie, of course. 😉
Cesar Montano is recently pressing on with his chance to fulfill one of his dreams that is directing a Hollywood film. ‘The Great Raid’ was his first Hollywood film as an actor but with this next one, he wants to have his first Hollywood directorial debut.
Cesar is a big thinker, not to mention a global thinker. He’s right on with his opinion with Slumdog Millionaire having made it possible for an Indian theme to make way to Hollywood, then why not with a Filipino theme.
He’s written the story and plans to direct it himself. The movie is entitled “The Quick Brown Fox.” The story starts off with a successful American family man who suddenly lost everything after he’s been framed-up with a crime he didn’t commit. There’s one hope though, and it’s at the hands of a witness to prove his innocence. He has to track him down, but the witness is a kind of sly and quick thus provides a twist to a pumped-up chase to the Philippines.
Details were not allowed to divulge right now. However, Cesar wants it to really to fly off well that he would vie for Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise for the American family man’s role. You can imagine Brad Pitt’s performance in Spy Games or Tom Cruise’s political drama in Lions For Lambs. No promises for now, but it’s something that we may look forward to. And it’ll be a very mind-riveting one! 😉
This one’s cute! So Charice is not playing any Dorothy in a ‘Wizard of Oz’ or with any of the ‘Looney Tunes.’ She’s gonna play as a contestant to compete against Alvin And The Chipmunks in it’s sequel movie.
It’ll gonna be fun for sure and pretty cuddly if she can hold one of those animated characters for real. If you’ve watched the chipmunks, then I guess you have some good memories attached to it. And with Charice on it in it’s comeback, that’ll be more than entertaining!
Charice seems to fall in love with acting. We might see her acting career flourish as well. Eventhough, everybody knows the world haven’t yet taste enough of her as a singing Diva! 😉
Charice Pempengco is really a singing phenomenon and a born ‘Diva’ idolized worldwide that right now she just flew heading Los Angeles to shoot a Hollywood movie.
Charice didn’t elaborate much nor did she mention the title or her role, but she hinted that it’d involve three animated characters under Warner Bros production. Of course, it won’t be “Wonder Woman” cause it’s one character plot nor “Looney Tunes” because it’ll be too many than three. I can guess it could be “The Wizard Of Oz.”
If Charice will be playing Dorothy, then she’ll be singing “Over the Rainbow” and playing with three characters of the Tin Man, Cowerdly Lion and the Scarecrow. This could be in line with a said announcement of Warner Bros. Animation recently regarding making an online animated series based on “Plastic Man” and “The Wizard Of Oz.”
This will really be a wonderful musical animation if it is ‘it.’ We’ll be waiting for its release. More power to you Charice! 😉
