For the first time in GMA’s Sine Novela history two classical remakes will be launched back-to-back. Kaya Kong Abutin ang Langit and Tinik sa Dibdib are both outstanding classics of their time.
Filling in the shoe of super star Nora Aunor in Tinik sa Dibdib, Sunshine Dizon will play Lorna, an overly pathetic girl who will do everything for the sake of happiness. In Kaya Kong Abutin ang Langit, Iza Calzado plays the role of Clarissa Rosales, a social climber who would do everything to gain success. It was originally played in 1984 by the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano. Both presentations, basically shares a common plot, they both depicts the life of a girl in search of happiness and recognition.

Iza Calzado’s gracing the cover of Women’s Health magazine this July 2009 as an actress and fitness enthusiast. That’s right, she still has her shape right and hot she still is!
Iza right now is busy doing shootings for films ‘Whatever Yaya! Spoiled Brat the Movie’ together with Ogie Alcasid and Michael V., and ‘Ang Panday,’ a Metro Manila Film Festival entry with Senator Bong Revilla, Jr.
Women’s Health shares more on ‘The Ultimate No-Gym Shape Up,’ ‘The 18 Healthiest Foods You Can Buy’ and ‘509 Cool Health, Nutrition, Beauty, Weight Loss and Fitness Tips!’ You can also have a quick peek on ‘9 Sex Secrets He’s Hiding From You’ when you avail of a copy. 😉
Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. won’t be running for President this coming 2010 elections, taking heed of his father’s advice. Instead he would be producing and casting himself as the main role player in the remake of Carlo J. Caparas’ ‘Panday’ as Flavio.
‘Panday: Ang Simula’ is set to make its way to be an official entry on December’s Metro Manila Film Festival. Philip Salvador will play the villainous Lizardo and promises their fans to expect lots of adventure and to be action-packed.
Iza Calzado, Rhian Ramos and Geoff Eigenmann also join the cast of this remake. Panday has always been a blockbuster hit since Fernando Poe Jr. put it to life. Senator Bong Revilla Jr. may have continued its legacy for the past few years, but this time it’ll hit the silver screen and ironically, it’ll take us back to it’s beginning one more time.
