Kamikazee finally got their much long-awaited 3rd album released as “Long Time Noisy.” These people are just ‘crazy-head-racking-soul-deranging‘ music maniacs and fans will just go out of their way to hold of this! Well, artistry comes in blends of chaotic harmony isn’t it?
The band’s fine arts students back in UP Diliman and is comprised of Jay Contreras as their lead vocalist, Jomal Linao on guitars and back-up vocals, Led Zeppelin Tuyay on guitars, Jason “Puto” Astete with the bass and Allan “Bords” Burdeos on drums.
You can trace the after taste of their prior hits back since they got together on their first gig in 2000. Then releasing their first self-titled album in 2002 with a rock cover version of the Britney Spears song “Lucky” as their carrier single. And up until 2006 with their last album “Maharot,” which includes “Chicksilog” and the phenomenal hit “Narda.”
Three years have past and they’re releasing this third album under Universal Records. It includes 20 tracks with it’s carrier single “Wala,” a kinda politically inclined, non-passive, satirical, comic expression of “nothing.”
To get into their heads will be a feat itself but listening to their songs makes your heart seem to understand quite simply and make you laugh and rock hard at the same time. So better listen to what they could bang out of you with this “Long Time Noisy,” that may be like a child’s play but obviously creatively mature.
