Sony Music Brings ‘The Show with Lenka Live in Manila’

The famed Australian singer-songwriter Lenka Kripac that’s behind the popular songs ‘The Show’ and ‘Trouble is a Friend’ in US TV series like the Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty and 90210 will come here in the Philippines for a 3-day concert at SM Supermalls.

Sony Music, in cooperation with MYX and 96.3 EasyRock will bring ‘The Show with Lenka Live in Manila’ this coming December 11 at SM Megamall, December 12 at SM Mall of Asia, and December 13 at the SM North EDSA. Lenka will be singing songs from her self-titled debut album with its new single ‘Knock, Knock.’

Here’s the lyrics of Lenka’s new single:

Knock, Knock by Lenka

A second, a minute, an hour, a day goes by
I’m hopin’ just to be by your side
I’m turnin’ the handle, it won’t open
Don’t make me wait ’cause right now I need your smile
Knock, knock

When life had locked me out I turned to you
So open the door
‘Cause you’re all I need right now, it’s true
Nothin’ works like you

Little louder, little louder
Little louder knockin’
Little louder, little louder

A warm bath, a good laugh, an old song that you know by heart
I’ve tried it but they all leave me cold
So now I’m here waitin’ to see you
My remedy for all that’s been hurtin’ me
Knock, knock

When life had locked me out I turned to you
So open the door
‘Cause you’re all I need right now, it’s true
Nothin’ works like you

You seem to know the way
To turn my frown upside down
You always know what to say
To make me feel like everything’s okay

Little louder, little louder
Little louder knockin’
Little louder, little louder
Little louder knockin’

Little louder, little louder
Little louder knockin’
Little louder, little louder

When life had locked me out I turned to you
And you open the door
And you’re all I need right now, it’s true
Nothin’ works like you

When life had knocked me down I turned to you
And you open the door
And you’re all I need right now, it’s true
Nothin’ works like you
Nothin’ works like you

When life had locked me out I turned to you
And you open the door
And you’re all I need right now, it’s true
Nothin’ works like you

Manny Pacquiao Wins by TKO over Miguel Cotto in 12 Rounds

Manny Pacquiao proved he’s the pound-for-pound King of the Ring once more as he toppled off Miguel Cotto in their match-up dubbed as Firepower: Pacquiao VS Cotto at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas Nevada.

Cotto’s supporters were right in one thing though, he’ll push the bout up to 12 rounds. It’s just that coach Freddie Roach is also right that Manny’s got the speed and in perfect shape to knockout the Puerto Rican champ. Pacman actually manage to outwit and outpunch Cotto to be knocked down three times.

The two great fighters actually gave their best shot, but there’s only gonna be one left standing. Manny Pacquiao now holds the first boxer to garner seven title belts in seven weight divisions. Now, Bob Arum’s job is to get a fight with Floyd Mayweatherman Jr.

But for now, celebration has got to be in place for Team Pacquiao and the land of the mighty… Mabuhay ka Pilipinas! …at Mabuhay ka Manny Pacquiao! Kami’y kasama mo!

Watch FirePower: PACQUIAO VS COTTO Fight Live

Manny Pacquiao VS Miguel Cotto will unleash a historic bout of epic proportions at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night of the 14th of November (Sunday morning of November 15, Manila time).

Pacquiao, having won six world titles in six weight divisions and regarded by many as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world will face-off with the WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto to snatch away the title belt and finally seal the record of the first fighter to have won seven titles in seven weight divisions.

Cotto is regarded as a very powerful and dangerous boxer, having fought well as an inverted southpaw with his lethal left hook ready to knockout. He is considered as a natural, solid welterweight that may cause Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao to struggle a bit. One of the things that coach Roach would consider to what would prevent Pacquiao from winning is if he allows his back cornered on the ropes and eventually be beaten up. Some insiders and world-renowned fighters got an impression of the fight pushed to a decision that would favor Miguel Cotto and would result to a devastating upset for the Filipino challenger.

However, Manny is at his perfect shape and have emerged as a better defensive fighter as also revealed by coach Freddie Roach. Boxing enthusiasts, experts, world title-holder fighters and majority of the world are very confident and bet on Pacquiao’s lightning speed punches that would knockout the Puerto Rican champion in the seventh or eight round.

Whatever the outcome, it’ll be one of the greatest fights the world would ever remember. It’ll be grand and humbling for both fighters and the country they represent.

FirePower: Pacquiao VS Cotto will go LIVE on Solar Sports and GMA-7 on a delayed telecast. Live video streaming will be through PLDT MyDSL Watchpad, SOPCAST LIVE and online pay-per-view as links follow below.
